Master of Education Programs

The Dwight Schar College of Education's four Master of Education (M.Ed.) programs are among the largest in the state. With their intentional integration of theory and practice, our quality programs of study offer the academics and field-based elements that professionals need.These programs are conveniently available at the Ashland campus and regional program centers located in Cleveland, Columbus, Elyria and Stark County/Massillon. Our Programs

M. Ed. Curriculum & Instruction with concentrations in:
Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century (TL-21) -- A 30-hour program that allows you to focus your electives in an area of your choosing!
Educational Technology -- An online degree.
Literacy and Reading -- Take advanced course work in literacy, reading and intervention.
Intervention Specialist – Mild-Moderate Needs -- Hours in this program can lead to an Intervention Specialist Mild-Moderate license.
Intervention Specialist – Moderate-Intensive Needs -- Hours in this program can lead to an Intervention Specialist Moderate-Intensive license.
Talent Development Education -- A degree program with an embedded Gifted Intervention Specialist Endorsement
M.Ed. Educational Administration -- Hours in this program support several of our administrative licensure programs.
M.Ed. Adapted Physical Education -- A program that focuses on physical education and intervention -- for licensed physical education teachers.
M.Ed. Sport Sciences with a concentration in Applied Exercise Science -- Learn more about strength and conditioning, wellness and personal fitness.
