One of the most popular college majors across all university campuses, the science of Psychology provides a glimpse into human thought and behavior. The Psychology Department offers both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree, which provides flexibility for students with varying career paths.  Thus, a degree in Psychology prepares students for a wide variety of career options, and provides a strong foundation for those students who wish to pursue graduate studies.

Scholarship in the Psychology Department

Both faculty and students are heavily involved in research and scholarship in the Psychology Department at Ashland University. Each semester numerous research projects are conducted, with results of these studies being published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at regional, national, and international conferences. Over the past few years our faculty and students have presented their research at conferences in cities such as Chicago, San Antonio, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle, and Washington, DC. Over the past 10 years more than 60 Ashland University Psychology students have done conference presentations that will help them gain admittance into graduate school or land a job after graduation.
