Excellent Art Hosted at Ashland University's Gallery

The Coburn Gallery serves as Ashland University's primary resource for the viewing of visual art by the academic community as well as by the general public. These exhibitions form the visual foundation of the educational mission of the Department of Art. The gallery schedule focuses on the work of nationally known contemporary artists as well as Ashland University art faculty and students.

The Coburn Gallery will host a national juried exhibition entitled Coburn Goes Small which will feature artworks no larger than 20” x 20” including the frame. The exhibit runs from May 17 through June 16, 2013. The juror for the exhibition is photographer Jessica Somers. Jessica's work has been exhibited nationally, has been published in various periodicals and the second edition of The Book of Alternative Photographic Processes, by Christopher James. She currently teaches photography throughout Connecticut and at the Art Institute of Boston.
