Ashland University educates and challenges students to develop intellectually and ethically, to seek wisdom and justice, and to prepare for the rigors of living and working as citizens aware of their global responsibilities.
Recognizing, encouraging and nurturing the unique gifts of individuals has been our primary purpose since 1878, and it’s still at the center of everything we do.

We have an undergraduate enrollment of 2,250 students. We combine the challenge of strong, applied academic programs with faculty and staff who build nurturing relationships with you throughout your four years and even maintain those relationships after graduation. This provides a welcoming 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio and an average class size of 18-20 students for accessible interaction inside and out of the classroom.
98% of our students receive financial aid based on academics, talents and need. Academic scholarships range from $7,500 - $15,000 per year and are renewable ($30,000 - $60,000 over four years).
